Which factors can have an impact on the driving range of your vehicle?
Several factors can have an impact on the driving range of your electric vehicle:
  • Top among them is your driving style. Your battery drains faster when you accelerate excessively or drive at high speeds.
  • The terrain also plays a significant role. Uphill driving consumes more energy, especially at high speeds, while driving downhill allows for regenerative braking, replenishing your battery’s energy and extending your range.
  • Other factors include outdoor temperature (lower temperatures reduce range) and cabin temperature settings.
Which conditions can have an impact on your charging time?
Charging time depends on two main factors: battery temperature, which is affected by the outdoor temperature, and the charging method used. Charging a battery takes longer in colder temperatures.Spring can be recharged with alternating current (AC) or direct current (DC)*. AC charging is more common, allowing you to charge your vehicle at home with a standard domestic socket. But it is also the slowest method, charging from 0% to 100% in about 13 hours at 10 A and in under 9 hours** with a Green Up socket, provided you have one. You can optimise this time by installing a Wallbox at home. If you prefer to use public charging points, DC charging allows you to recharge your New Spring from 20% to 80% in just 35 minutes**.

* DC charging available on the Spring Extreme version only.
** Actual charging time may vary depending on a number of factors, including outdoor temperature and the battery temperature.
What factors can have an impact on the charging cost?
Charging costs fluctuate based on the following factors:
  • Your geographical area (country, region, etc.), as prices may vary.
  • If charging your vehicle at home, prices may vary depending on the time of day (in some countries, electricity is cheaper at night) and on the type of contract you have with your energy provider.
  • If you use a public charging point, fast charging (DC) is usually more expensive than the slower charging option (AC).
  • The operator’s pricing policy for the charging network (subscription, pay-as-you-go, etc.) will also impact how much you pay to charge your vehicle.
